“ So I found this place due a to a random article which made me think " Man.. I want a Waffle" I opened up my Google Maps in search of the Nearest Waffle house (I have lived in Philadelphia Since 1998.. There has NEVER BEEN a Waffle house with a 2 state radius of this place). But my Maps produced a place Called "The Angry Waffle " If you know Philly you understand that we are a city of Loving individuals who are approximately 2 rude questions from stabbing you to death with own cellphone. It's almost implied that name of any local business starts with the Word "Angry".. So in a city of Rage Buckets, they are "The Angry Waffle" And they are located in North(West) Philly, an area that makes the rest of us seem Tame. So of course I needed to try this place. I hop into my vehicle and 10 mins later I'm greeted by a Bright, clearly new Sign.. The place had that wonderful neighborhood spot feel. Clean and Cheery folks, with neighborhood folks all patiently waiting for food that was flying out a speed that matches your standard Fast food, that little factor almost scared me until I noticed the number of Older Black folks waiting.. Now he's a pro tip for you.. If you clearly see a stack of over 40 black folks quietly waiting for their Food at 9:45am on a Saturday not saying anything... Trust me it's real deal. I got my go-to test meal from a place Blueberry pancakes with cheese eggs and bacon.. I pick this meal because it's easy to do but hard to get right. So while traffic made longer for me to get back to my place. The food not only survived the trip, but was still bangin when I ate it, perfect bacon, the right weight and cheesiness of the eggs, followed by the blue berry pancake that threaded the line between needing syrup and not needing it. It hit the spot without being heavy enough to slow you down. This has been added to my list of places to get a solid fresh breakfast that is quick and priced for folks who work for a living. ”
“ I placed my order in the restaurant & the owners were pleasant & kind. They have steady traffic but our wait wasn't long. They run the business really well & the restaurant was clean. Food was still hot once I got home. All good & would return in the future. ”
“ I looked over the reviews 1st before I placed an online pickup order, Reviews are awful, but mostly sounds like they didn't get there food hot, so I decided to pickup and not get it delivered, everything was hot and alot of food, enough for left overs for tomorrow breakfast, it was tasty to me, grits nice and buttery, potatoes a little over cooked but it still was good.. they where not burned, eggs omelet was tasty, I'd order again since they are close ”
“ Was in the area for work and needed a quick lunch to grab and go and found a place with convenient street parking right in front. I tried their burger, and it was absolutely delicious! Tbh, I wasn’t expecting much, but the flavors were fantastic. I asked for mayo, ketchup, mustard, and Cheddar!! Of course, it can't compare to a gourmet burger from a fine dining restaurant, but it was surprisingly good and definitely worth the price. If you like your fries extra crispy, I recommend asking for them well-done. I'll definitely be back! ”
“ Clean inside and good customer service. Thank you. ”
“ 7 for a breakfast burrito with a seasoned tortilla . I have 0 complaints ”
